so here it is a start of a new blog. Not that there wasn't enough blogs out there already. I figure this is probably more for me than anyone else but we'll see if i keep up on it.
I am currently at Classic Coffee in Glendora, a great little independent coffee shop downtown. Its currently 92 degrees outside, meaning that it is that hot or hotter in our house - due to lack of air conditioning. I am taking a break from working on my applications for PA school and NP school and hope to have them completed by the end of the week. The plan here is to apply for a couple different options and then see what happens.
So back to figuring this blog out - we'll see how it turns out!

- here we go... My name is Josh, i am 24 years old and a recent graduate of Azusa Pacific University. I currently live in Glendora at "the commune" which is basically a falling apart hippy house fully equipped with outdoor shower and couch located in a giant oak tree. I currently work at San Antonio Community Hospital as a transport aid for the surgery dept. I'm hoping to start grad school in fall 09 as either a P.A. (Physician Assistant) or N.P. (Nurse Practitioner) and even though i am going into the medical field it does not consume my life... I'm much more of an artist i think. I guess you could describe me as a Renaissance Man, in that i dabble in a lot, the arts, science, and the humanities. It is in Nature that we see God and through the Arts that we celebrate and describe Him and who He is.

It is only by passing through the wilderness that we truly become great. We see it time and time again, the Israelites passing through the desert to become the people of God, Jesus going into the desert before he starts his ministry ... ect, ect. In the wilderness we learn to loose complete control of all aspects of our lives, and learn to fully rely on God. Only after this can we really be used by God. The world is fully of ordinary Christians, but when I read the Bible I see a call to live extraordinarily. To be used by God fully, our lives are transformed into one of revolution. Our roots are in revolution. Living radically ridiculous lives, revolting against the norm of the world, coming and shaking society up. I feel this is the call of my life, to journey through the wilderness to become a child of the revolution.
